DESCRIPTION: The Ulster Way... The Ulster Way is a long distance footpath of some 450 miles planned to encircle Northern Ireland and passing through all six counties and environs of Belfast. A feature of the Way is the network of paths linking it with the major centres of population and areas of scenic beauty and interest. Associated with the main Ulster Way route and major link paths are a number of alternative paths enabling walkers to follow a circular route. Much of the Ulster Way lies in the midst of magnificent scenery and over mountains or open moorland country where the Way is not made up since an artificial path would not be appropriate.
